Skin Care Vitamin C
How good is my skin care routine?
MORNING:
cleanser: Vitamin C gel cleanser.
Toner: 5% tea tree oil solution
moisturizer: clean and clear oil free 0.5% salicylic acid
Sunscreen: oil free SPF 30 (if I plan to be outdoors)
My night routine is the same except for I use a prescription cream with 1% clindamycin and 5% benzoyl peroxide, and obviously no sunscreen.
My goals are to keep my skin clear and free of wrinkles. I am a male in my mid 20s. I drink plenty of water, exercise, sleep well, drink moderately, don’t use drugs, and I eat healthy.
My skin type is somewhere between combination and oily.
I’d say that’s a good routine. Only thing I have to add is to use a sunscreen everyday regardless of it you’re going to be outside for an extended period of time. That’s one of the biggest mistakes people make. Everyday activities like driving around, getting the mail, walking the dog… Etc. Still expose your skin to the sun, and it’s always a good idea to apply a sunscreen as a precaution.
