what do you know about apple grafts for the skin?
I have had a leg wound on my right leg since 2004. Actually it is an old surgical scar. It heals and then slits open because I have chronic lymphedema. my wound care nurse said she recommends this new type of graft, but really cannot find much on the net, What is it and how does it work?
The product is Apligraf. It’s skin grown in the lab from human skin samples.
When properly applied & cared for, it can work wonders. Our practice uses it about a dozen times a year.
