can a health care doctor provide chemical peel for the skin?
i schedule a appointment to see a regular health care doctor .( i have a skin darkening problem).can he provide me with some chemical peel cream or something or must i go see a dermatologist instead???
Your doctor should probably sent you to a dermatologist.
Pending on your skin color and gender the reason for the skin darkening ( also called Hyperpigmentation) might have different reasons. Inflammation (example acne) , reaction of perfumes.sunlight / hormones – all this can led to skin darkening.
From my personal experience- even a chemical peel or a bleaching cream can increase skin darkening ( by irritation which can lead to increased Melanin production) – so my advice is :
- be very careful_ you need to get honest advice and find somebody who really has experience in this area. Also – in case you decide for a peeling- ask them how often they have performed this procedure, what where the side effects and what was the percentage of complications? Hope that helps.
PS. Would also recommend to wear sun-protection I if you have that skin darkening problem)
