Dry Hair Wash

Would using facewash to wash hair be effective yet not dry your hair out?
Has anyone ever tried using face wash for washing hair? I am trying to get away from using shampoo for washing my hair because shampoos tend to contain so many chemicals and also damage my hair.
I was using bar soap for awhile but I was told it could dry your hair out too. Face wash seems milder than bar soap, so what do people think? Do you think it would be effective yet not dry hair out? Does it tend to have less chemicals than regular shampoos?
Thanks!
No, definitely not. Face washes have harsh chemicals, acids, and peroxides to help clear your skin. These things can bleach and damage your hair! Stick to hair shampoos. Try the Paul Mitchell: Moisture Collection. I used it before to moisturize my hair and I loved it! But if that ’s too pricey, try Garnier Fructis for frizzy, dry, unmanageable hair. I am currently using those products and I really like them, too. Anyway, whatever you do don’t use face washes to wash your hair!
Hope I helped!
